Studio 525

Studio 525

Inspire students to use the power of the visual arts as a vehicle to enrich their lives and the lives of their community now and into the future.

Studio 525 is the brainchild of the art students from the Hoover High School class of 2017, along with the instructor Chris Triner.  After receiving a grant from the North Canton Enhancement Fund in 2016, a small, underutilized space near the art rooms was able to be transformed into a student-powered art gallery that sponsors at least three art shows a year.  In this space, students from all levels use the space as a teaching/learning gallery, being able to showcase their work and the work of various community organizations.
Student curators each year are selected to help hang, coordinate, promote and run the day-to-day operations of the gallery. Through their efforts, shows such as "Monster Mash", a collaboration with pre-k students and high school artists, middle school holiday shows, and alumni art displays are a rich part of the past seven years.  With donations from organizations like the North Canton Sideliners and Abbot Blinds, the little studio named after the school's address has been an active part of the school and the greater arts community.
