Our elementary and intermediate curriculum focuses on four core subject areas: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Along with these courses, children participate in art, music, gym, and in grades 3-5 a technology skills course is added.

North Canton has selected McGraw-Hill’s Wonders as its literacy program. Teachers work with students in areas of understanding text complexity and close reading and offer additional supports for all levels of learners.

Math concepts are taught using the spiral curriculum of McGraw-Hill’s Everyday Mathematics. This spiralling helps ensure students master key concepts by continually revisiting content in a variety of contexts over time and continually reinforces abstract math concepts through concrete real-world applications.
