Hoover High School Announces New Athletic Director

North Canton, OH – Hoover High School is pleased to announce the appointment
of Larry Kinnard to the role of Athletic Director. The North Canton City Schools
Board of Education approved his contract at their May 15th Regular Meeting.
Kinnard has worked for North Canton City Schools for five years and looks forward
to continue building on the great traditions of the Hoover athletic program.

“Larry's passion for North Canton and our student-athletes makes him an ideal
choice for the role of athletic director. His high standards will continue to drive the
athletic office towards excellence, prioritizing both our student-athletes and the
North Canton community,” states Hoover High School Principal Eric Bornstine.

Kinnard has long dreamed of being in an athletic director role. While working in
security and facilities at North Canton City Schools, he applied for and earned his
Master of Science in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. Kinnard also
brings athletic experience, having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management
from Mount Union University, where he played football for four years then coached
the defensive line at Hoover High School. He was previously Assistant Athletic
Director at Hoover High School.

“There is a lot to look forward to in my new role! I am most excited to get to work
with athletes, families, and coaches more closely,” explains Hoover Athletic
Director Larry Kinnard.
