Lindsey Wyckoff, Andrea Ziarko, Robert Roden, Jessica Stroia, and Alyssa Plakas
Dr. Bob Roden
President
Dr. Roden is the father of 5, grandparent of 17, and great-grandparent of 5. He and his wife, Bonnie, have been married for 56 years. In addition to teaching, he was a principal in Canton City Schools, Lake Local Schools, and North Canton City Schools, where he served as the Superintendent. He was also Associate Superintendent at the Stark County ESC and Canton City Schools.
He writes monthly columns for two local magazines and volunteers with several organizations, including the NC Rotary CHARACTER COUNTS board and the House of Loreto nursing home.
Jessica Stroia
Vice President
A graduate of Hoover High School, Jessica received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from Malone University in Organizational Management. Jessica serves on the Ohio School Board Association’s Northeast Ohio Executive Committee and OHSAA Liaison Committee. Jessica previously served as the Secretary of the North Canton Charter Review Committee and was a member of the North Canton Zoning Board of Appeals. Professionally, Jessica works as an HR Manager.
Alyssa Plakas
After graduating from Hoover High School, Ms. Plakas earned a BA in International Studies from The Ohio State University and a Master of Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Akron. Her career has included 10 years as a social studies teacher, work in the United States Congress, and for the Stark County Commissioners.
Ms. Plakas currently volunteers as a North Canton Soccer Club youth coach.
Lindsey Wyckoff
Ms. Wyckoff is a Hoover alumna with a Mass Communications degree from Bloomsburg University. During her professional career, she has worked in marketing communications for Rutgers University Athletics, the New Orleans Saints, and New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans. Ms. Wyckoff made the transition to the nonprofit sector in 2016 with the American Diabetes Association and the Kids in Need Foundation. She currently works for the American Cancer Society.
Additionally, she serves the community through several organizations including Legacy Project of Stark, StarkFresh, and Moms Demand Action.
Andrea Ziarko
An alumna of Hoover High School, Andrea Ziarko obtained her B.S. in accounting from Indiana University and her J.D. from The Ohio State University Morwitz College of Law in 2001. She is a lawyer at Baker, Dublikar, Beck, Wiley & Mathews in North Canton.
Ms. Ziarko is a member of the Stark County Bar Association and the Community Involvement Committee. In addition, she is a member of the North Canton Charter Review Commission and the Board of Trustees for the North Canton YMCA. She is a sustaining Member of the Junior League of Stark County. She previously served on the North Canton Public Library Board of Trustees.

Business Advisory Committee Meetings
North Canton City Schools is a Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Advisory Committee member.
The committee members consist of local business leaders, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions in higher education and K-12 schools. The goal of the committee is to provide mutual feedback. Schools can steer curriculum and courses of study to better match industry needs and address shortcomings. Businesses can also communicate with schools about where they envision future openings and what is on the horizon in terms of booming career fields.
